The 2011 season is here, and so is one of the most exciting summer entertainment line-ups in the Northeast! That’s right – not only do we have some of the best bands in New England returning to play the Club this summer, but we have added some great new acts rated the best in class in Rhode Island, New England and even a few nationally acclaimed performances you won’t want to miss! We have also added some fantastic new family, youth and kids’ events you won’t find anywhere else! Check it all out and get ready to “let the good times roll!”

There will also be a $10.00 set-up charge per fire pit (not per person) on “Friday Nightfires.” These modest entertainment & set-up charges are intended to offset a small portion of our total entertainment costs while providing you with the highest quality experience.)

The Scoop on Friday NightFires…..
For several of our weekend evening events in the past several years, we have positioned fire pits on the beach for our members to enjoy while listening to music and taking in a sunset. The popularity of these experiences gave birth to the Friday NightFires concept.
What is it?
Beginning Friday, July 8 th and every Friday evening of the season, we will be offering a limited number of fire pits for use by members on the beach, weather permitting. A minimum of four people must be in your party to reserve a fire pit. Club Staff will set-up your fire pit, provide and light the firelogs, provide you and your party with chairs and will extinguish your fire pit and clean the area when you are done. Fire pits will be available from 7:00 p.m. - closing at 11:00 p.m. There will be a $10.00 set up charge per fire pit that will appear on your Club tab.
In addition to live music and occasionally music piped over the beach, the dining room will be offering a NightFires menu of lighter fare and a full bar service as well as special food and drink packages all served to you and your party on the beach. No outside food or beverages will be allowed. Since NightFires is a perfect venue to catch up with friends and enjoy a leisurely evening on the beach, it would not be conducive to young children.
How do we reserve one?
Reservations are highly recommended and will be available on a first come first serve basis. Walk-ons are welcome and if we have fire pits that are not reserved, we will be glad to set you up. If not, we may still be able to provide you with complimentary chairs as long as they last. Please call the special reservations line 401-789-9675 select Option 2 to make a reservation. You may reserve your fire pit as an after dinner experience or as a completely independent reservation.

GALILEE BEACH CLUB FAMILY DAY
Saturday, July 9, 12:00 – 4:00pm
Join us for Galilee Beach Club Family Day, brought to you by The Carnival Party, LLC, with Lori Alicchio-Wilson. We will have a 9-hole mini golf course, face painting, sack races , water balloon tosses, sand castle contest, a mini golf tournament for teens and adults. We’ll also have giant size games of “Jenga”, “Pick-up Stix”, “Connect Four” and much, much more. There will be prizes and ice cream and fun for everyone! Bring your kids; bring your guests; bring your grand kids, nieces and nephews! Come one and all for an afternoon of beachside fun!
GYMNASTICS FOR GIRLS
Saturday, July 23 (Ages 5 - 12): 11 – 12:00pm
Saturday, August 20 (Ages 5-12): 11 – 12:00pm
Presented by Dream Big Gymnastics, Cranston, RI and coached by Shanon Cornicelli, Former Head Coach for the Rhode Island College Gymnastics team. Younger children will get a fun warm-up with potato sack races, three legged races, wheel barrow races and relay races. Both age groups will learn stretching exercises and have the opportunity to work with coaches on an incline mat, a low beam, and bar. The groups will run stations in circuit with coaches and senior gymnasts directing and teaching at each station. The groups will learn forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, body shapes, jump training, dance skills, pullovers on the bar, casting and more! Senior Gymnasts will do a skills demonstration at the end. Younger participants will finish with a parachute game, while older participants will have some more advanced fun. This promises to be a great girls event brought to you by one of Rhode Island’s most respected gymnastics programs!
BAREFOOT All-STAR SOCCER CLINIC

Mike Giles, Captain of the Emerson College Soccer team, along with a cast of great local college soccer players, will run two barefoot beach soccer clinics for kids of all ages. Participants will run through drills, learn various techniques and skills, and end with a fun scrimmage on the beach. Mike and his associates keep it light, but always like to leave kids with something they can use. This is a great learning experience for your soccer playing sons and daughters, as well as grand kids, nieces, nephews and friends.
BEACH MOVIE THURSDAYS
with STEVE’S HOLLYWOOD GRILLE

Enjoy a great evening on the beach beginning with a casual beach grille barbecue from Steve’s Hollywood Grille! Then sit back on the beach in your beach chairs and watch a full screen, first-run movie on the sand complete with pop corn, snacks, ice cream, kids and adult beverages and more! This is a fun family night out on the beach. Movies will never be the same again!
VINI AMES KIDS BEACH PARTY

The Vini Ames Kids Beach Party has been a long time favorite at the Galilee Beach Club. This lively, spirited event with personable Vini Ames includes, age appropriate dance music, nursery rhymes for very young children, and pop hits for older kids. There are games, contests and prizes, and of course Kid’s Karaoke! Sometimes called the “Pied Piper of Galilee”, Vini Ames brings fun in the sun and a memorable afternoon for kids.
