THE GALILEE BEACH CLUB INDEPENDANCE DAY BONFIRE BEACH PARTY

Carolina Sound will provide the music and karaoke fun from the deck while our Chef Steve Hobin rolls out a classic Holiday meal selection. A Galilee Beach Club favorite night, the Bonfire evening is a great way to kick-off the July 4th weekend with lots of fun, surprises and beach side holiday tradition.

THE TIM TAYLOR BLUES BAND

Tim Taylor has long been a respected Bluesman in the Providence area being the harmonica player of choice by New England’s leading Blues bands. His most recent CD entitled Too Long Gone has been heralded by CD Reviews, Craig Ruskey as "One of the finest, and incredibly hot recordings to ever come out of the Ocean State." Tim has shared the stage with some of the greats in the Blues world including Duke Robillard, Sugar Ray Norcia, Roomfull of Blues, Jimmy Johnson, Johnny Hoy, The Palladins, Barrence Whitfield, and Vidar Rusk. A five piece ensemble, The Tim Taylor Blues Band will give you that rollicking slice of Mississippi hill country blues along with that "lift you out of your seat and dance" sound. Have mercy!

BRASS ATTACK

Arguably Rhode Island’s #1 Dance band and the hottest horn band in New England will be playing the Club with a nine piece high energy act that will rock the house! Bringing four horns, a rhythm section and a lead vocalist, Brass Attack plays dance music from Tower of Power, Chicago, Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Glen Miller, Van Morrison, Blood, Sweat and Tears to name a few. Brass Attack band members have played with the Tonight Show Band, Ray Charles, The Four Tops, The Temptations, NRBQ, Dizzy Gillespie and Aretha Franklin. The BAHA BROTHERS BAND

Get ready for "Parrot Head Night" and one of the best Jimmy Buffet style bands in America! In fact The BaHa Brothers frequently open for Jimmy Buffet and are regularly featured at Jimmy’s "Margaritaville" in Key West, Florida. This five piece band is full of Buffet beaches and ballads. They play the Mohegan Sun, Treasure Island Resort in Las Vegas and have been featured on entertainment specials on FOX and ESPN! This will be a night to remember. Get your Hawaiian shirts and crazy hats out. We’re giving out prizes! ($5.00 cover charge)

GARY GUITAR & THE GRINDERS

Gary "Guitar" Grammolini is the lead guitarist for John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band of the Eddie and the Cruisers movie soundtrack fame. His music produced the top ten singles "On the Dark Side" and "Tender Years" and over three million records sold! Gary is joined by twenty-five year accomplished artists, Don Culp on the drums and Jon Samuels on bass and vocals. Don and Jon have played with such names as Chuck Mangione, Aretha Franklin and The Guess Who. Known for their "make you want to dance" type music, Gary Guitar and the Grinders will deliver a special night for one and all.

Diamond & Phil

Diamond Centofanti and Phil Mullen are a gifted duo of multi-instrumentalists and vocal talent who have toured The U.S., Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas and Bermuda. Experts in blues, jazz, country, latin and rock music, Diamond & Phil have won accolades all over Rhode Island. Diamond has played and written for Frank Sinatra Jr’s Band, Duke Bellaire’s Band and is listed in "Who’s Who in Rhode Island Jazz".

Steve DeConti

Steve DeConti has been a New England favorite for nearly twenty-five years. A talented vocalist, guitarist and flutist Steve’s diverse repertoire includes jazz, latin, American song book, pop, rock, swing, reggae and blues. He’s been a featured soloist at the Pell awards, Mohegan Sun Casino, The New York Yacht Club, to name a few. He plays every Tuesday night at the Trattoria Sympatico in Jamestown.

Steve will also play for us out on the deck on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

The Foreverly Brothers

The Foreverly Brothers are a fixture at Newport’s Clarke Cooke House, "The Candy Store Club" playing there every Saturday night. The band has also toured the Caribbean playing clubs in St. Barts and throughout the islands. The Foreverly Brothers feature three acoustic guitars, wonderfully tight harmonies and convey the classic sounds of Neil Young, The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel to name a few. This group is a treat to your ears and will have you toe tapping and humming all afternoon.

The Foreverly Brothers will also play for us out on the deck on Sunday, August, 15, 2010 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

MIKE TENAKA & FRIENDS

Mike is an ace guitarist who plays anything from blues to rock and everything in between, but on Tuesday nights at the Blackstone in Pawtucket, R.I. he invites his friends to play some Jazz. "The best jazz gig of its kind" says the venerable music scene arbiter, The Providence Phoenix. Mike Tenaka & Friends are also featured during the summer on the Verizon Jazz Stage at Providence’s Waterfire. Mainstay sax player Rich Lataille, a Grammy Award winner with Room Full of Blues are joined by John DeBossu (Bohemian Quartet, Soul Power & Al Basle’s Swinging Thing) on bass and Rick Couto (Rizzz, The Joe Parillo Ensemble and Soul Power) on drums. A true jazz lover’s experience, these guys are the real deal nominated by Motif Magazine as "Jazz Band of the Year" in Rhode Island. Cool Jazz on a hot summer afternoon doesn’t get better than this.
